Ives Horticultural Awards
The Dr. Raymond E. Ives Horticultural Awards was founded in 1976 to honor Dr. Raymond Ives of Stayner for his work in Horticulture, and to encourage the study of horticulture at the post secondary school level by students in District 16, Simcoe County.
This fund is supported by the Hort. Societies in District 16 through an annual fee per member, Society donations, and gifts to honor the memory of loved ones. The fund is registered with Revenue Canada as a charitable organization and receipts can be issued for donations.
Currently there are three annual awards of $1000 each, available to students enrolled in a post secondary course in Horticulture, Environmental studies, Forestry & Arboriculture, or related disciplines. Master Gardener training may also qualify.
The Dr. Robert E. Ives Horticultural Awards Committee is a committee of OHA District 16.
